Today marks one year since my mother-in-law walked through the veil, and joined those saints who have gone before her. She breathed her last sometime in the middle of the night, and all I could think when I saw her earth shell, was, "A new Body." For one earth year, she has enjoyed this new earth body.

I wish we could share some cinnamon rolls together, you and me, and her too, and we could talk about these things, but this is of course for the next life. Yes, there will be cinnamon rolls, and they'll be so much more amazing than the ones I'm baking today.

This last year a friend convinced me into signing up onto which is a site that sends you a passage of Scripture and a bit of a devotional (sometimes) daily. Sometimes it has all I've been able to chew on and meditate for the day, as I couldn't seem to have the energy to sit and read my Bible.

Today, of all days, this passage was sent to my email box.

Listen to today's call.

Jamie,

Here's something for you to look forward to!

1 Corinthians 15:51-58

51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:

"Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?"

56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Only the Lord knows how much we need His word. May this be our eternal hope today and the rest of our days.

Thinking of you today, James. I'm glad you've been blogging again. Thanks for encouraging me and being a sounding board for me so often. I was up late last night working on the GHD newsletter, and this morning I saw your "remembering" pics on fb. Wish we could have coffee tonight. I miss you. Love, Jo

How amazing our Precious Lord is to orchestrate the very passage in His Word to be read on the very day you needed it so that you guys would be ministered to. My tears fall knowing how good our Father is! How He wants us to know He understands the horrendous pain of the separation of death and comfort us. I am so so glad that we live with hope! Heaven will be so very amazing. I hope Penny had a chance to meet and catch my Dad up on how great a work God is doing through you guys! i can only imagine how proud he is too. I love you guys so much. Wonderful to see you on skype ystr. xxoxoxoXXooOOOxxx

I sit here with tears as I think about how precious our Father is. He orchestrated before the worlds began the reading of His Word to you on the day He wanted to put his arms around you and tell you how sorry He is for your pain and that He loves you so much. And how He comforts you with the wonderful HOPE that we have as believers to meet HIM and all believers one day. So so wonderful! Penny touched many lives including yours. She has passed her baton to you and you and Andrew are "doing her proud". I would have loved to see her telling your Grandad all about you . I know He was beaming as he always did with his girls. I love you hon. Isbohum. GOd is with and goes with you... Mom xxoXOxX
